Safi Katherine Toure Memorial Scholarship Fund
Mama Safi was a mother, sister, wife, friend, supporter, artist, jewelry designer and creator, and all-around amazing woman! She loved her family and friends deeply and generously. She was very active with Nsoromma, serving in many roles: Board of Directors member, Advisory Council, teaching artist, parent volunteer, advisor for the Nsoromma Youth Entrepreneurs, and overall a huge supporter and cheerleader for the school. It seems that Mama Safi was always thinking about Nsoromma and how to help us continue to grow and expand and serve our children and youth. Naming this scholarship fund is one way that we are honoring her, her work and her gifts.
Students who receive this scholarship will be those who have demonstrated creativity in their work and have performed service for others.

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
Join Our Team: Shape Futures with Springboard 2 Success and Triple Threat Test Prep!
Are you passionate about empowering students to reach their full potential? Nsoromma School invites dynamic individuals to join our team as SAT and/or ACT instructors or workshop facilitators for our Springboard 2 Success and Triple Threat Test Prep programs.
- Our programs operate on Saturdays and after school, with flexible on-site and metro Atlanta area contracts.
- We use hands-on culturally responsive teaching approaches in all courses and methodologies.
Application Process:
Ready to embark on a rewarding teaching journey with us? Follow these steps:
- Previous experience in teaching or tutoring SAT/ACT prep or working with teens in reading, writing, or math.
- SAT scores of 600 or higher in at least one section or ACT score of 26 or higher in one or more sections within the last six years.
- Readiness to complete a more recent SAT administration online, if needed.
- Skill in facilitating hands-on lessons, encouraging peer group problem-solving, and integrating African and African American culture and history into course content and pedagogy.
- A degree is not mandatory – college upperclassmen with appropriate scores and experience are encouraged to apply.
